Hoobuy's homepage loaded when we checked on 6 October 2026, and rep.tools listed it as up on 31 August. But the newest reviews on its Trustpilot page, read the same day, are dominated by serious complaints: a buyer still waiting for a withdrawal after more than two months, orders that were 'first not fulfilled', two orders stuck at 'purchased' with nothing shipped, a failed recharge and warehouse problems. The TrustScore stood at 3.7, down from 3.9 in July. Those are the signals of an agent under strain, so we moved Hoobuy from Working to Reported.

What Hoobuy offered
Hoobuy's appeal was breadth: it advertises buying from Taobao, Weidian, 1688, JD, Pinduoduo and DHgate, has had official iOS and Android apps since late 2024, supports EU payment methods such as iDEAL, Sofort, SEPA and Blik, and offers 90 days of free storage. It was one of the few agents that could consolidate DHgate items with Taobao finds in one parcel.
Why we no longer recommend it
Complaints about money, not just delays, are the most serious kind: stuck withdrawals and orders that are paid for but not bought mean buyers' funds are tied up. Even if Hoobuy resolves them, the pattern is the one that preceded other agents' problems. We would rather be wrong in the cautious direction.
Do not top up Hoobuy or leave items in storage until recent reviews show orders and withdrawals moving normally.
If you have money or items with Hoobuy
Request a withdrawal or shipment in writing and keep screenshots of your balance, orders and every message. If you paid recently by card or PayPal, check your payment provider's dispute window. Ignore anyone who contacts you offering to recover funds for a fee.
DHgate buyers do not need Hoobuy
Hoobuy's DHgate support is rarely worth it: DHgate already ships worldwide with escrow protection, so routing it through an agent adds a shipping leg and a new risk. Buy DHgate rows on DHgate itself.
Moving the spreadsheet
Every row in an old list is a Taobao, Weidian or 1688 item wrapped in the agent's link. Paste the rows into the link sorter; it pulls out the platform and item ID and gives you clean marketplace links you can open on any Working agent from the index. Delete rows whose item no longer exists rather than keeping dead links.
What would restore its status
Reviews showing withdrawals paid and orders shipped promptly over several weeks, ideally with a statement from Hoobuy, would move it back to Operating.
